Recently, Wally Anker (a life-long local who's family has been here "on the hill" since the days of the original gold rush), and Dr. Allen Repashy (author of the book "History Makers South of the River; A history of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church and historical survey of Our Lady of Mt Carmel") both contributed volumes of Chispas to the HRC's growing collection of historically valuable/ potential research materials.  The publication dates range from July-Sept. 1966 through Apr.- June 2005. Chispa is the quarterly of the Tuolumne County Historical Society.  Each issue consists of carefully researched, well-written articles and historic photographs of people and places throughout the county.  They contain a wealth of knowledge and are just plain fun to read.
